Own work.

Below is a few pieces of my own work. They are armour pieces. I felt inspired by the images i discovered in my research and used them as reference when creating the images. I have learned to use images as inspiration and reference and will continue to do so in the future.

This is a very interesting photograph, it has a colour scheme which works very well. I feel it represents autumn as the colours are dark orange and the trees are dying. I will use it for future inspiration as it's a very beautiful photograph.
I really like this photograph as the light in a dark cave really stands out, even though the colour has been edited it still gives a very dramatic effect with the light reflecting off the surface of the water.
This is a very interesting edit of a photo, taking out the colour the photographer has drew attention to the fine detail int he rocks of the landscape. The composition is is very dramatic and i will use this landscape as future reference when painting my own. ALso the texture of the rocks i will hopefully use in my future work.
I love the transition of colour in this piece, going from the dark purple to the paler blue really adds definition and contrast in the photograph. the landscape itself is very simple but allows the dramatic lighting effects on the open water which looks beautiful.
This image consists of water following between rocks in a fast pace river. The way the photographer has picked up the movement of the water going through the rocks i find very interesting, it really shows the speed of the water going through. I think the composition is very interesting, the use of foreground to background is rather sudden but almost blends together very well.
Using certain camera shutter settings this photographer has captures the water in motion over time, it adds a very cool effect. The composition itself i feel is very basic but even though it's basic it still has a very nice effect. I think i will use this as reference in the future but for a bigger scale, i.e, using the side of the stream as cliffs etc.
This photograph is a very unique piece. It cossets of a very strong blur which brings the main focus to the flower and top of the stem which is very sharp and noticeable. The colour is very delicate using pale colours but then blending into dark shadows defines the lighting in the image.
This photograph doesn't have much editing done to it. But the photograph in its self is very dramatic, it appears to be a natural formed archway in extreme proportion. I will most defiantly use this as future reference for work in the future. It can be used in many ways even if it's just for inspiration for large landscape designs.
This photograph of a tree is very beautiful, the lighting and contrast between colours is perfect. I find the way the photographer has taken the image rather interesting, as it's simply a segment of the tree rather than a winder image, but is still easily recognisable as a branch which blossom on it.
This landscape is a very good example of Foreground to background perspective. The colours are very vibrant and really lift of the page. There isn't much unique about this image though.
The way the light shines through the branches of this photograph i find very dramatic. it almost silhouettes the tree and creates a very nice colour contrast between the light, leaves and tree itself.
The focus on this photograph creates a damp mood to the photograph, blurring the edges defines focus to the centre point of the photograph, the colouring is deep and green which looks very nice to the eye. I can see myself using this blurring technique in the future with my work.
I love the composition of this image, the tree in the foreground really stands out, but still the background is not in unnoticed you can still see the cracks in the rock. I think the image itself is very interesting and i hope to use it in the future.
The focus that the photographer has created on this image i find interesting the focus on the first rock you can see all the fine details of the moss on the stone, as you go further back the blur suddenly becomes very strong which creates a very decent looking image.
The colours on this photo really lift of the page. A black and white background causes the colour of the flower to become very significant in the piece most of the focus goes to the flower and little of it goes to the leaves and background.
I really love what the photographer has captured in this landscape. The transition of colours from dark to light, from a low saturation to vivid high saturation colours really work very well together. It represents the natural world very well, it seems that the foreground is peaceful and then on the horizon you see a powerful storm coming into the peace and changing the photo completely.
The way the trees are placed in this image i find very interesting, the back silhouette placed upon a colourful sunset creates a very dramatic effect.
This epic photograph consists of a waterfall and a very high cliff. I really would like to use this as reference in the future for landscape designs, as it's truly remarkable.

I really love the colours in this image, the dark turquoises to the pale blues and whites really creates a beautiful contrast. The image itself is very dramatic and breathtaking and the size of the surfer shows the true proportion of the power of nature.
I find this photograph very interesting, when i took it the sun was behind clouds, making the sunlight disperse in effect creating the black silhouette from the trees. I find it a great composition and hope to use it for future reference in the future. It is also very inspiring.

This image is a photograph taken in bristol. I feel the image itself represents the connection between the organic world and the man-made world we see everyday and take for granted. I will use this as future reference for my work and find it very inspiring.

This is a photograph of a tree close up, the leaves have very vibrant colours which blend from lighter green to dark green. The leaves also appear rather soft at first but as it approaches the edge they become very sharp. This photo will be a great reference for future projects, also a great inspiration of armour and landscape design.
This another picture of leaves found on a tree in bristol, the more unique thing about this image is that it is out of focus, creating a sharp background and a blurred foreground. Creating a very interesting composition, a very pleasing image. I will use this focus technique in future work.
This is a photograph of a tree in bristol, I like the way the sun hits the top and then gradually goes to shadow as it goes down. I will use this tree for future lighting reference and also as references for drawing trees in the future.
This photograph of clouds i find beautiful. The way the light hits the whisp edges and then as the cloud goes thicker the colour goes denser and denser until it is in a dark shadow. I will use this as future reference for painting, and also use it as inspiration for many things.

I find this texture very interesting. It is a close-up of a tree. But if you imagine it as a bigger image it almost resembles a wasteland or a cliff. It has multiple colours and may be used in many different ways to create fascinating work.

This texture has a very natural/organic nature. It is a photo of a building which has a plant growing up and all over it. It has  beautiful, vibrant colours which I find inspiring to be used within future work, the colours seem to blend from green to a yellow-orange and then finally ending as a fire'y red. The actual texture can be used to represent a jungle perhaps. Or simply as what it is, a plant covering a building.

This photo of clouds may be used to add texture to lots of pieces in many different genres of art & media. Even though you may see clouds if you were to take the fluffy texture from the edges you could easily create something unique, from smoke to smudges/blemishes on armour pieces in concepts. The toning on the clouds is very smooth, there isn't much sudden shadow it tends to blend gradually from light to dark which gives it a very soft texture.

This is a photograph of a plant. It has quite dull colouring so nothing really stands out. The shape of the leaves on the other hand are very interesting they can be represented as many things from swords to feathers. The organisation of the leaves tend to be totally random- yet going in one direction.

This is a photograph of tree bark. It's a strange texture and doesn't seem to look like the average tree bark that you come across. But this texture may be used in many different ways, as with the other tree bark if put into scale it almost represents a a baron wasteland which i find very interesting and inspiring.
This is a picture of fur. I feel it can be used in armour pieces and animals in future art & media projects in the course. It has very interesting tones and the shadow begins at the base and gradually turns into highlight as it reaches the tips of the hair.
This is another photograph of tree bark. The more unique thing about this variation is that the bark has moss growing on it. All the cracks form some kind of interesting sharp shape which casts a shadow into the bark. Like with the past tree barks zoomed out I feel this texture may be used for multiple landscape purposes in future projects.
This photograph is a close up of some peculiar tree bark. It consists of a very rugged surface but almost looks melted in places. It has a unique texture which lifts of the surface of the tree and may be used as reference in future projects as perhaps buildings or landscapes.

This is a photograph of a tree in bristol, it appears that it has outgrown it's original planting spot and has created a very unique effect around the base. The cracks through the concrete could be used as reference or inspiration for many projects in the future. It could be used from landscapes to armour textures.
